The extraction properties of 1a-b were investigated under liquid-liquid and solid-liquid two phase conditions by using alkali picrates as substrates and measuring by UV-Vis the amounts of picrate in the organic phase; results and experimental conditions are reported in Tables 2 and 3 respectively.
