The Enhanced Articles were the most significant milestone. These had been
expanded beyond the original concept of just Chemical Communications to three
other journals and has been adopted by the RSC as the most likely model for its
forthcoming series of electronic-only journals. The framework for enhanced
articles was being adopted by the RSC for electronic journals. However,
important issues such as scalability needed to be further investigated and this
was actively being studied by the RSC.
The main project deliverables had all been reached.
