Unfortunately, both of these syntheses include a Leuckart reaction, which ¹⁸Jeffery et al. found did not produce a high yield - less than 25% compared to a greater than 75% yield when the synthesis route shown on the main synthesis page was used. These syntheses are therefore more of academic, rather than practical interest.
